Recent regulatory developments have begun to consider the summer cooling as one of the key components in the evaluation of the thermal performances of the buildings. The problem of energy efficiency in summer has assumed a great importance for two main factors: the emergence of the urban heat island effect, and the continuous increase of electricity consumption for the use of air conditioning in buildings. Hence the need, more and more demanding, to have materials able to improve the housing comfort and at the same time, ensure the decrease in energy costs.
For these reasons, GFC Chimica, last March 24th, at the Congress Hall of the UNAWAY Hotel based in Occhiobello (RO) has organized an interesting day focusing on these issues inviting speakers from Universities, manufacturers of raw materials and finished products and its own technicians, highlighting the technologies that the industry provides for the formulation of products which can guarantee real energy savings.
GFC Chimica is a specialized laboratory for the certification activities and characterization of coating products with a strong specialization in the manufacturing of construction products. A company that, thanks to its team of experts, have known for so many years these formulations and which is aware that a good product formulated with high performance raw materials, can provide a solar radiation efficient reflectance.

I recenti sviluppi normativi hanno iniziato a considerare il raffrescamento estivo come una delle componenti fondamentali nella valutazione delle prestazioni termiche degli edifici. Il problema dell’efficienza energetica in regime estivo ha assunto grande rilievo principalmente per due fattori: l’insorgere del fenomeno dell’isola di calore urbana e il continuo incremento dei consumi elettrici per la climatizzazione degli edifici. Di qui l’esigenza, sempre più stringente, di disporre di materiali in grado di migliorare il benessere abitativo e, allo stesso tempo, garantire il contenimento dei costi energetici. Proprio per questi motivi, GFC Chimica, lo scorso 24 Marzo, presso la Sala Congressi dell'Hotel UNAWAY a Occhiobello (RO) ha organizzato un'interessante giornata per affrontare queste tematiche dando spazio a Università, a produttori di materie prime e prodotti finiti e ai propri tecnici, mettendo in luce le tecnologie che l'industria mette a disposizione per la formulazione di prodotti che diano un concreto risparmio energetico.
