Biesterfeld and Laurel Products agree Europe-wide distribution of fluoropolymer additives
Accordo tra Biesterfeld e Laurel Products per la distribuzione di fluoropolimeri a livello europeo
■ Distributor Biesterfeld Spezialchemie has assumed control of the distribution of fluoropolymer additives for most of the European market on behalf of American company Laurel Products, LLC. This includes dis- tribution in the DACH region as well as Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Turkey, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The agreement applies to product lines marketed under the Ultraflon®, Marzon® and Thor® trade names.
Laurel Products specialises in the production of micronised fluoropoly- mer additives based on polytetrafluoroethylene, fluorinated ethylene pro- pylene and perfluoroalkoxy polymers. These are offered in powder form as well as in various carrier fluids and can be used in coatings, lubricants, plastics and other substances. The additives improve abrasion resistance, which reduces wearing and offers temporary protection from corrosion. More consistent particle morphology and higher density provide en- hanced product stability, application, and effectiveness. Furthermore dispersion and polarity is aided by the incorporation of hydrophobic addi- tives. One of the company's most recent innovations is a mica fluorinated additive. It combines the high form and thermal stability of mica with the glidant properties of a fluorinated additive.

Laurel Products è specializzata nel- la produzione di additivi a base di fluoropolimeri micronizzati a base di politetrafluoroetilene, propilene etilene fluorurato e polimeri perfluoroalcossi. Questi sono offerti in polvere e in vari fluidi vettore e possono essere utiliz- zati in prodotti vernicianti, lubrificanti, materie plastiche e altre sostanze. Questi additivi migliorano la resistenza all'abrasione, sono in grado di ridurre l'usura del prodotto e offrono una pro- tezione temporanea dalla corrosione. La morfologia delle particelle, più con- sistente e con una maggiore densità, conferisce al prodotto una maggiore stabilità, applicazione ed efficacia.
Inoltre, la dispersione e la polarità vengono sostenute dall'incorporazione di additivi idrorepellenti. Una delle più recenti innovazioni della società è un additivo fluorurato di mica. Esso com- bina il modulo elevato e la stabilità termica della mica con le proprietà glidant dell'additivo fluorurato.
