When asked about regional expectations, respondents said they expected Germany to continue delivering major stimuli. Both Asia and Europe (except Germany) were down somewhat in significance, but continued to be important (see figure 8).
Compared with the previous survey, both the general economic situation and the companies’ own business situations were seen as less positive (see figure 8). These indicators, however, should not distract from a highly positive overall picture of the industry that continues to prevail. In all, satisfaction and optimism for the future continue at a very high level. It remains to be seen whether the slowdown is merely a temporary fluctuation or perhaps a general trend.
Another fact which speaks for a positive development is that over half of all respondents said they expected to step up their companies’ involvement on the composite market.

Questi indicatori, comunque, non devono togliere valore al quadro alta- mente positivo dell’industria, che continua a prevalere. In generale, la soddisfazione e l’ottimismo per il futuro si mantengono a un alto livello. Rimane solo da vedere se il rallentamento sia soltanto dovuto a una fluttuazione temporanea oppure a una tendenza generale. Altri segnali positivi di sviluppo sono che più della metà degli intervistati prevede un maggiore coinvolgimento della propria azienda nel mercato dei compositi.
